Woke to Yes then up at 7 and Mr Handel took over – I’ve been thinking about buying his Water Music Suites recently – but this morning of course I found I already have a recording...

Surfing etc and downloading more weird jazz from Destination Out then listening to some previously recorded/downloaded stuff from The Bad Plus and UK...

Meg the Black Cat was assisting, kind of – she kept switching the printer on and off with her paws...

At 11, we set off for Patisserie Florentin and enjoyed some refreshing orange juice, lovely coffee, tasty French bread and excellent croissants...

With Anne off uptown to purchase birthday presents for niece Kitty, I trawled the charity shops of Stockbridge...

“Looking for what, Dave?” I hear you ask...

Well, erm, that would be CDs of course...

Found Laura Pausini’s debut album for £3 in Oxfam and a funky 2CD set of Blue Note stuff in Shelter for a similar amount...

At 1:30 we met up again and headed home...

A call to sister Pam, feeling a bit better today but still coughing in the night and sleeping most of the day – in fact I awoke her with my call at 1:45...

Set about rearranging the back room – once again assisted by Meg the Black Cat...

Meanwhile Queens went down 2-1 at home to Dundee while Arsenal, whom Chris-with-a-Ch was down watching at Newcastle, lost a four goal lead to end up drawing 4-4...

Three sides of the room were finalised...

While the fourth was used to listen to records not listened to for some considerable time - her, for example, a Sparks related rarity...

In the evening, feeling the worse for wear re ongoing flu-like symptoms which started yesterday afternoon, we were entertained by Tivo’s “Law & Order” and “Glee” and a repeat of “Live at the Apollo”...

Meg the Black Cat ended the day by proving the old addage, if you provide a box, your cat will get into it...

To bed with Blood Sweat & Tears in the cans (not literally of course)...

Highlight of the Day : A return to Patisserie Florentin and rearranging the house...
