Despite deciding not to buy any CDs in February (how many times now have I said “no CD’s this month” at the start of a month?), I shelled out £3 in Fopp for a two albums on one disc by jazz flautist Hubert Laws – and this soundtracked my trip into town to meet up with Dr Prog...

We were off to an ECAT concert, tonight featuring cellist Matthew Barley - and very impressive it was too...

...so much so that I bought my second CDs of the month, as I was relieved of ten squids by Mr B’s manager for a copy of his latest disc, featuring some of the music played tonight...

Solo cello plus laptop electronics and a video backdrop – top stuff...

Called the hospital when I got in and was advised by Pam’s nurse that her temperature was still spiking but also that the chest infection was improving and that the main infection was reacting well to the long-term antibiotics....

Later on, the sounds of the newly purchased cello CD drove Anne off to bed...
