A much welcomed lie in until gone nine o’clock...

It was bitterly cold today (I did not venture beyond the door) but bright and sunny...

A leisurely day started with the ripping of the six CDs bought on yesterday’s trip – the addition to my Paul McCartney collection led me to listen to classic singles from 1972, which, in conjunction with 1973, comprises my all time favourite period for UK hit singles...

Post lunch, some gardening from the Exec Producer, while I continued to fanny about doing nothing of any import, including downloading The Marmalade’s Greatest Hits to get hold of their 1972 single “Radancer” which I once owned and which has eluded me for years...

Mid afternoon, we settled down to watch the first two episodes of the new series of “Spooks” – superb stuff...

Meg the Black Cat enjoyed it too, as you can see...

Then, we cooked....

Red Thai Chicken Curry, with a different paste to the one we’re used to...

Still very tasty...

Even better, accompanied by a nice French Pinot Noir...

Then, we watched the recent Gerard Depardieu film, “The Singer” (“Quand j’etais chanteur”)...

Ah, you can’t beat a cosy time in front of the fire on a bright cold winter’s day with a good film...

Some Bear Grylles in the Canadian wastelands followed...

...before I retired upstairs and enjoyed the sound of The Purps (Coverdale Version)while writing this, no doubt with “Match of the Day 2” set to finish off the weekend...

Oh, and amended the template of the blog - hope you like it...

Highlight of the Day : Being entirely lazy...
