Dar dar...

Playlist
Various - Rock & Pop Jukebox on Shuffleplay
Threshold - The Ravages of Time
Great Lake Swimmers - Lost Channels
Dar Williams - Edinburgh Setlist

Up early and updated this for the last few days...

Spent more time projecting on the project - covers, listings, background story etc...

Into town with Anne and to the library (sans Dr Prog due to a visit by him to Newcastle for tomorrow's Yes gig) with my hangover induced overdue Hawkwind Box Set - 90p fine - oops...

Borrowed two discs by Eliza Gilkyson - raved about by Norrie during our visit to Luing in September - her dad wrote "The Bare Necessities" you know...

Tasty stuff - I'm listening to "Paradise Hotel" as I type this erm, "tomorrow"...

Also partaken of were the latest from Great Lake Swimmers, an EP length (30 mins or so) by The National and a double CD best of by top British prog-metal band, Threshold...

Yowzah!

Back home through the rain with some colourful leaves on Crispycat Hill...

This evening we were off to see one of our favourites, Dar Williams - but prior to the gig, we enjoyed the hospitality of Holyrood 9A (last visited on the Dr Prog/Count Brodski/Lady Penelope night out a month or so ago)...

We enjoyed some of the best burgers we've ever tasted...

We will definitely return and can heartily recommend this brilliant bar to you - no TV (huzzah!!), great beers, warm, friendly and top notch food...

Tonight Ms Williams was playing at The Pleasance - last time we saw her (3.5 years ago) she played the Cabaret Voltaire with her full band (on a considerably smaller stage than pictured here)...

Tonight she played solo...

A wonderful 90 minute performance - her between song stories shed light on the subject matter with just enough comedic art to draw the audience into the palm of her hand...

Brilliant - then two encores and she was away...

Home via Tesco provision acquiring for tomorrow's breakfast and ended the day with Dar on the nut-cans whilst watching "Match of the Day"...

A good day (despite awful weather)...

Highlight of the Day : Dar Williams in concert...
