Awaiting the taxi...
Turned out, it was stuck behind lorries emptying the street bins...
But it arrived at 4 as promised...
We remained behind the bin lorries for a few minutes...
...but were soon on our way to the airport...
...arriving at 4:20...
Through security for a seat...
Gate announced at 5 and all was exactly on time (we now always expect something, somewhere to go wrong of course)...
Boarding at the expected time...
...and take off was at 6:15, right on time...
Once the sun was up, I shut the blind and had a sleep...
On awaking, my ears had popped and, all of a sudden my right ear was clear again - I will still have to have it sorted...
So, headphones on and some Brian Eno and Crazy Wisdom soundtracked...
Into Edinburgh on time...
...landing around 8:50...
Through passport control, an airport bus and a 26 to the top of the hill before trundling down...
The garden had grown in our absence...
By 10, all was re-set up...
...and, over the next 12 hours, I updated all the entries here, watched "Dr Who", "Have I Got News For You" and the last of this year's "Beyond Paradise"...
And, of course, downloaded quite a bit of music either (a) sampled in Portugal or (b) released on Friday...
As last night, to bed at 10pm, but I would not be getting up at 3:30...
Zonked...
