Sunday morning, some monochrome views...

Up late, as you can see...

Breakfast at home before doing my mum's shopping...

We were late to Sainsbury this week...

...and I think I mostly just pottered about between returning from the shop with Anne and heading out to my mum's...

Here, the view from the front window...

Mum as in talkative form - the only thing is, she says the same things every week...

A Facetime call with chum Moira was a highlight...

We must do that more often..,.

Ever sonce England beat Denmark the other night, the country (wel, England anyway), has been in a state of frenzy regarding the European Championships Final tonight at Wembley...

A golden start for our arch rivals with a splendidly worked goal in just two minutes but, thereafter, the game gradually slipped away from them..

They were still one up at half time but being totally dominated by the Italians (inexplicably ranked three or four places below them)...

Just after the hour, almost inevitably, Italy pulled level...

Then dominated the rest of the game and extra time...

Te stats do not lie...

You cannot expect to win a major final with ust one shot on target (and that being your gola in two miniutes!)...

But as they went into the penalty shoot out, many in the crowd and on the commenatry and pundit teams were still hopign England could scrape the win...

Yu had to feel for the England goalie (who saved two Italian Penalties) and the three young lads who missed their penalties (the online racist abuse form a section of the English fans started as soon as Italy's keeper won the title for them)...

And so Football's (not) coming home, it's going to Rome...

The idiotic over-confidence and bluster and boasting can be put back in the box - but, sadly, only until next year, when it will start all over again...

And this is why so many British fans were cheering on the Azzuri, despite our closest neighbours being in their first major final for 55 years...

Highlight of the Day : Italy winning...
