A very strange April, gone...
Rather dreich outside, so went monochrome...
But colour soon emerged...
Started off with the track list for this week's podcast, chosen on Tuesday - ahead of the game, then, Bach's Brandenburgs - not the best ever version, a bit lifeless really - on posting this pic I was given a few tips on the Twitter as to better versions...
Breakfast with the EP...
Then, to work..
This tried for a few seconds, before reverting to the previous storage solution...
Continued to make my way through the A-Z of less well known composers from the collection, hitting S and T today...
In the afternoon, a visit from Fang - he had something to say...
..but soon settled down...
...to become the subject of a couple of still lives...
For tea, my favourite - Anne's spaghetti Bolognese...
Yowsah!
We have two cute wee twins next door...
Cute but noisy...
A call to my mum - still doing comparatively well...
Then, the views from the office this evening...
I...
II...
III...
IV...
V...
...as records were played for International Jazz Day...
Max Roach...
The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, featuring my distant relation, Bill Fleming, on Baritone Sax...
Some obscure late 80's fusion...
An excellent pick up session from Eddie Harris, feature the cream of British rock of the mid 70's but playing jazz...
..and the Maria Schneider Orchestra, members of whom featured on Bowie's "The Next Day", back in 2013...
The beast listened...
...and liked...
..and thought about growing his hair back...
Let's finish with the out-take of the collage at the top of this entry...
Spot the difference?
Highlight of the Day : Anne's Spag Bog of course....

David, Anne, it's been far, far too long since the days of https://crispycat-recordings.blogspot.com/2006/08/almost-sunk-then-buoyed.html, and the August 2009 and 2010 outings, not to mention The Blue Nile at the Bridgewater and Anne's trip to see Virtuoso at Dry Bar!
How the heck are you doing, on the eve of your birthday? Still musicing, I can see, which is always good. I'm very impressed with the wall(s) of sound pics.
Give me a shout if / when you see this.
Best wishes, and stay safe
