...contenders...

..for album of the month (of those released in the month) for April...

I think it's a toss up between Fiona Apple and Luke Howard...

Although Phish and Weserbergland are also good...

Thundercat is OK...

Thisquietarmy is disappointingly noisy - probably just have to be in the right mood...

For breakfast, unpictured bacon rolls nourished...

Meanwhile, a squirrel was taking refuge outside the window from a cat...

...and I was having trouble locating the Fela Kuti disc I was playing last night - I was sure I'd put it back here...

After much searching around the house and then amongst the thousands of CDs - I found it here...

I'd filed it in a similar space three sections along from its home...

Now it's back in its place...

Listening today was young chum Gina's recommendation, then some electric Miles Davis, then the new stuff, then the first draft of the playlist for this week's podcast - keeping the mix of styles the same but choosing from recent acquisitions instead of across the whole collection - then some composers beginning with P - four extra ones as I have no stand alone discs by composers beginning with Q - and some Moody Blues...

By that time, late afternoon, there was action in the kitchen...

..and still life in the dining room...

Anne was cooking a rangan curry...

...which turned out deliciously...

Enjoyed before the first in the revamp /reboot of Van der Valk...

Late on, after looking through and listening to the Alice Cooper box...

It cost an unbelievable £185 back in 2011...

I was struggling to keep my eyes open, despite unfeasibly large headphones being utilised...

...as Anne painted on into the night and so, I retired around 11:30...

Highlight of the Day : All in all, it has to be Anne's latest curry recipe...
