First message of the day, chum Jack has a dry cough - self isolating for the next week...

Today was chum Bernie's 65th so a lunch at Quattro Zero was definitely in order...

Quite possibly our last big outing for a very long time...

For your correspondent, some tasty Carrot and coriander soup...

...followed by some tasty (and hot) Penne Arrabiata...

Accompanied by sparking mineral water - trying to stay good after Friday's excesses and having gotten back down to my low again this morning...

All in all though, what a deeply, utterly, depressing day, with everything that's going on re the Corona Virus...

It's not just the virus itself, it's also all these unimagined consequences of the measures required to keep things at bay so that the NHS doesn't collapse...

Back home, more tasty soup, green and home-made this time...

One episode of "Coronation St" watched then, second once more at "University Challenge" - the final shout of "John Adams" re the composer of "A Short Ride in a Fast Machine" just taking us past the Courtauld Institute of Art...

Then, to contemplating cancelling the proposed birthday trip to North Wales...

We will wait another couple of days...
