Lurgi kicking in big style today...

The playlist was tomorrow's podcast, some tracks of the week from last year's podcasts and another four of my top 50 albums of the 2010s...

Meanwhile, portrait number 10...

And an unintentional one on the bus of the beast in a hat....

The view from the office this morning...

This afternoon...

...a visit to the Gyle...

...on the tram...

In the evening, chicken, potatoes and broccoli nourished and two podcasts' links recorded and tomorrows put together...

That was kind of it...

Anne continued her new painting...

It's being proclaimed "fiddly"...

But then, late on, on the Twitter timeline, news that Rush drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart had died on 7 January, after 3.5 years fighting a brain tumour...

Awful, very sad news indeed...

This, was his drum kit...

An unbelievably good drummer and, frankly, one of rock's and, indeed, music's best ever lyricists...

But we are not his family and we still have his music...

As with David Bowie and Chris Squire and so many others...

Lowlight of the Day : The death of Neil Peart...
