Views from the balcony on another fine morning...

Some inquiries post breakfast shopping, led to another road trip...

Down the B500...

...the Black Forest High road...

...to Mummelsee...

...where we, of course, had to have some Black Forest Gateau...

...by the lakeside...

A walk around the environs introduced us to the local goats, Zick and Zack...

...and the Church of St Michael on Mummelsee...

...and wildlife...

...and wood carvings re local legends...

The beast was not particularly about its business...

The lake is famous for its mermaids - this was the only one we saw...

Mummelsee bread was being baked...

These tadpoles might well grow to be mermaids...

Now, the sun was out, full blast...

...affording better pics...

...and biers were required...

...along with sausages of course...

Now the beast was about its business...

More wildlife...

...and exercise...

...before a long uphill walk to the gap beneath the tower in the pic below...

The views over Seebach were spectacular...

Onwards into the woods...

...eventually reaching our target...

...before heading back...

...to where we could see were we'd just been...

Onto the bus for the journey back...

Baden Baden just before 5...

Back to the balcony for a rest...

...and more bier...

...before setting out for a walk around town...

..and more drinks, at the strangely named Wallstreet im Hamilton...

Back closer to home...

...and a Thai meal enjoyed...

...before climbing the hill once again...

Good times...

Today's artwork, "The Wood for the Trees"...
