The view from the office this morning...

Breakfast on the balcony and out into the sun...

Over to the town hall for a recital of piano music for two hands...

A beautiful room...

...with views...

A superb recital with good insights from the moderator...

The encore was Camille Saint-Saƫns' "The Swan"...

The room looked out onto the town below...

The view as we made our way back down to it...

...past statues...

...and sculpture...

A walk to the Festspielhaus...

...for this afternoon's performance by Nederlands Dans Theater...

Tickets collected...

...and a look around this ex-railway station which is now one of Europe's largest Opera Houses...

Lunch at a nearby pizzeria, outside in the sun...

Followed by a walkabout, spotting this wee chum up a tree...

Back to the venue...

The audience was arriving...

A display in the foyer by local youngsters...

Further entertainment as we made our way into the venue proper (a big box attached to the back of the original station)...

The EP was having a good time, as was your correspondent...

More dancing...

Followed by refreshments...

Into the auditorium...

It was packed full of dressed to the nines young ballet dancer wannabees...

Luckily the big light was retracted into the ceiling...

Four pieces were performed in a quite superb and, frankly, at times, unbelievable, display of delightful dance-based dexterity...

A break between parts three and four...

The view from the top...

The final piece, to the music of Max Richter and set in a railway station waiting room (aptly re the venue) was the best...

A walk back to the town...

...and tea on the balcony, breakfast provisions utilised re the lunchtime pizzas...

The rose, a gift from the NDT...

Late on, catching up with the World Cup...

An excellent day...

Today's artwork, "The Dancers of the NDT"...
