A nice lunch today with old chum Margaret - enjoying her retirement, even though she's, technically, too young for it to be called that...

On the way home, this...

It's the top of some kind of Xmas tower that's popped up in George St, visible from my evening bus stop, just and no more...

Forgot I was on a 31 and so was delayed in getting home by whizzing past my stop and not heading up the hill...

Oh dear...

I can advise it had nothing to do with the lunchtime wine intake...

Home slightly later due to that and we were well and truly gubbed at "University Challenge" by both teams tonight, while enjoying some very tasty home made soup...

Later on, got sucked into "Masterchef", a programme which I don't usually watch...

Now, however, I know how to make an Italian meringue...

So that's good...
