Walking, Tippett and a party...

Tippett - A Tribute to Sir Michael Tippett

Up just after six and out into the morning at 7:26...

To the top of the hill...

...and down it...

Over the main road to the "back route"...

...along the cycle path...

...under some bridges...

...past the golf course...

...over the roads which take travellers to Anne's mum's house...

...and a wee chum spotted, as I approached...

...Murrayfield...

A slightly different route taken at this point, to avoid any wall clambering and knee grazing...

Down the steps...

..and along by the Water of Leith...

...and up...

...reaching my target...

...in 75 minutes...

Later, at HMV, an exchange was made...

Walked again - this time to Wester Coates and then, post Airport bus alightment, up Crispycat Hill to CCHQ...

This awaited my arrival home...

Superb...

This evening, round to Jane and Bobby's to pick them and Anne's mum up - to Murrayfield for nephew Craig's 30th Birthday party...

The birthday boy with his dad and "the human jukebox", Raff...

Managed to catch Mary just as she took a pic of me...

...and enjoyed a good chat with her re Lutoslawski's String Quartet and how that has helped her to understand abstract art...

Craig's favourite girl, Arianne, took the more conventional pictures of the evening displayed here...

...while I concentrated on the blurry, woefully underexposed arty shots...

Mr Raff performed much of much missed chum Jamie and I's covers sets...

Keith was unaccustomed to public speaking...

Craig's mum, Sharon, presented him with a story he wrote at age 11 - a year after advising he wanted to be a sports journalist - which he now is...

Candles were extinguished...

..and cakes were cut...

Late on, Bob encouraged the taking to the dance floor, recorded by Keith...

Some of the dancing was just too fast to be caught on camera...

We were at Bob's old rugby club - and he found a picture of his past, much coiffured self, adorning the wall...

And so the night drew to a close - hugs all round...

..and selfies with the birthday boy's dad...

Happy birthday wee man...

..and this, just because...

It is but I think someone needs to be a member - plus it's quite far a way from your house!!
