At lunchtime, some bumming about - seeing this at Blackwells brought back some memories of the seventies...

Easily recreated at home...

I had been called for jury service a couple of months ago and was granted leave due to a clash with the Hamburg trip (or it might even have been the Stuttgart trip)...

I had now been recalled and was to attend today - after having to phone in every day this week...

I was happy to carry out my civic duty but, on arrival I was told the person whose case I was to attend had plead guilty at the last minute...

So that's me for a few years then...

A walk to Haymarket on the way home...

And flowers, or, more probably, though I can't tell, weeds on the way down the hill..

...and a good leaf on the garden path...

Inside, Anne had been defrosting the fridge...

Chinese for tea and some telly - the last "Holby" for a couple of weeks - thanks to the dreaded snorefest that will be The Olympics...

And "New Girl"...

Late on, a tasty wee Bartok quartet and some vintage Bryan Ferry...
