In the Inbox this morning, messages from Bandcamp - it seems there's been a large donation to MacMillan re CBQ's "Starlightnight" album, released in August 2012 (my last song-based album)...
As the Just Giving page approaches £1,000 (£950 incl Gift Aid) at slightly lower speed than it was doing so four years ago, I had to try and remember how to put an 11 CD box set together...
Digital downloads are the way forward dontcha know?
Work this morning led to the discs being burned and printed...
Work on the covers and the box should be completed over the next couple of days...
It's all good...
This afternoon, after dropping Anne off at her mum's for the first game of Hearts' league season (Queens drew 1-1 away at Dundee Utd yesterday - with QoS hero Stephen Dobbie returning to the fold) against Celtic - inevitably they were defeated by a late goal - 2-1 - out to my mum's and the new fence is up...
The debris left in the garden leaves something to be desired though...
Back home and Rory Custard was seen for the first time in a wee while...
I have been listening again to the BBC Bowie Prom and I must backtrack slightly on my panning of it last week - it's not as bad as it seemed at the time - I suppose I was just more disappointed than anything else - even Marc Almond's "Life on Mars" sounds kind of acceptable...
Kind of...
A tasty cheesy, tomatoey, chickeny dish was much enjoyed...
Then, some trying to remember when I bought LPs in the 70s and 80s...
That'll probably take longer than I'm hoping...
Comparisons are being made between two different lists - one complied from diaries between 1974 and 1983 and one an actual list as at around 1988 (at which point I had around 125 CDs - now 8,500 or thereabouts)...
This how I waste my time...
Ted's already given up...
The view from the office this evening...
...as an enjoyable weekend draws to a close...
...with the short list for this week's podcast soundtracking and then, thanks to Sid Smith, investigating the piano music of ex Rip, Rig & Panicker, Mark Springer in the final hour or so...
Highlight of the Day : Anne's tasty chicken dish...
