Up after 8, late for a Saturday but acceptable now I'm no longer posting up two hour long podcasts every weekend...
To Helen and Susie's for some podiatry...
..and back home for breakfast with Anne whilst discovering there was to be a pitch inspection in Kirkcaldy and our trip with nephew Olly to watch Queen of the South away at Raith Rovers was in jeopardy...
A pizza based lunch also in the balance...
Half time pies too wiped from the agenda as word came through, "Match off"...
We decided instead on a quiet day in, while snow fell outside...
The postie brought these...
...and they were enjoyed - the first disc of the ten Holt became just a little repetitive after a while but, later in the day, the other three were also listened to (it's a four hour piece) and the overall excellence became apparent...
A film was watched, selected from around 40 DVDs not yet viewed...
"An Education" based on a memoir by journalist Lynn Barber...
Enjoyable and evocative of the very early sixties - I say that although, while I was indeed there, it's a time I don't remember first hand...
Outside, a wee squirrel in the continuing snow, finished off the last of the latest seed bag...
Fast mover...
Late in the afternoon, with Hearts thumping Dumbarton 5-1, further deliveries arrived....
A book of album covers from the jazz label Prestige (with top notch bonus CD)...
...and another two discs of contemporary Danish classical piano music...
Yowsah...
Having decided on zero (pizza based) lunch or half time pies, we enjoyed a tasty Indian takeaway in the evening, along with the first two episodes in the latest of the French detective series, "Spiral"...
A welcome return for Saturday nights - I'd earlier been briefly tempted to return to songwriters' night Out of the Bedroom this evening but "Spiral" put paid to that...
I say move OOTB back to Thursdays...
Late on, I resolved to "tweet" all 2015 music purchases, a decision which garnered me some new followers...
It seems there are many in the twittersphere who enjoy (kind of) lists of music related stuff...
More listening to the new stuff before retiring, having spent my mum's Xmas present to me on two enticing multi disc box sets of minimalist piano music, whose arrival is now eagerly awaited...
Highlight of the Day : A quiet day at home with the Exec Producer...

Royal Mail and Amazon Logistics...
Makes sense. Squirrel's, hee, hee hee.
Squirrels are tops! Always a shame to see one squished on the road...
