Started the day in the middle of the night with one of my favourite new discoveries of 2014, Bend Sinister...

Out into the gathering light, under the moon...

The Bad Plus' broadcast entertained on the cans...

At lunchtime, a walk along to Fopp...

They are having a Frank Zappa special and indeed have been having a Frank Zappa special for a couple of weeks now but, until today I couldn't find the one set I particularly wanted - "Zappa in New York"...

I bought it on vinyl in 1980 from, of all places, a curtain and fabric store at Tollcross who, for some unknown reason, at the time, also had a record department...

Re-secured for seven of your English pounds...

Back home, a couple of arrivals...

Two multi disc box sets of minimal piano music...

In all, around 24 hours of music over twenty discs and around 40 different composers featured...

Yowsah!

And so, this evening, with Anne out for a quiet drink with Lynn to discuss upcoming holidays and engagements, I spent some considerable time listening to, firstly, Frank Zappa and then, much minimal piano music, as I ripped all these new discs (and some previously "missing" Zappa) to the hard drive...

Taxi service also provided of course...

The night was rounded off by "This Week"...
