Up reasonably late, first album of the year, the traditional "Billion Dollar Babies"...

Then, to work on a possible new CBQ project - no results today though, just some rather fruitless experimentation...

By the time Anne arose, breakfast had been declared brunch...

Jus before noon, we enjoyed the docu/film "Super Duper Alice Cooper"...

...which included a reasonable number of insights into my favourite music star, of which I was not previously aware...

In the garden, our first foot was a black and white cat called Rory Custard, seen here exiting under the gate after having left us his version of coal and/or shortbread...

I devised a new project for 2015 podcast-wise, moving away from the Weekly Playlists I produced, erm weekly, in 2014...

This year, my idea is to create podcasts based on the opening track of albums i have which were released in particular months of the year, compiled from the earliest records I can find which actually list the release month (1964) through to 2014...

Today, I compiled the list for January, identifying over 80 albums and planning 10 podcasts for the month ahead, each will be around a more manageable 40-50 minutes rather than the 120 minutes of last year's efforts...

In addition, I can prepare the podcasts in advance, as they will reflect the 50 year period in question, rather than the what has happened in the seven days leading up to publication...

The time consuming part will be the compilation of the albums each month...

If the other months are similar to January though, I'm looking at featuring the opening track of 1,000 or more albums over the course of the year...

In the evening, we had the postponed curry, with a cheeky wee bottle of Bordeaux...

Yum...

...and enjoyed the Tivo'd New Years Day concert from Vienna - "taped" while we watched the Coop DVD earlier...

So, quite a lazy New Year's Day, on which we did not venture outside...
