Someone's lost their bootees...

Playlist
James Jamieson - Precious
The Bad Plus - The Rite of Spring
Various - Denovali Swingfest London 2014 Sampler
Alice Cooper - Pretties For You
Various - Tracks for Weekly Playlist 14
Various - Philadelphia International Classics
Alice Cooper - Easy Action

Up unfeasibly early...

...and working again on uploading Jamie's album to Bandcamp...

Also downloaded the sampler from Denovali for their 2014 festival in London I will attend in a couple of weeks' time...

And sent a potted history of the rebirth of Capital Models - from our tentative reunion in February 2011 through to the plans to start playing our original material live again with the now cancelled April gig - to ex-member Nicky Hind, who's been living in California for around twenty years now...

Jamie's album upload was a long task given I had now expanded the set to over twenty tracks and each minute of music takes around 5 or 6 minutes to send to the server - this is because it's WAV files being uploaded as opposed to much smaller MP3s - this allows downloaders to, if they wish, sample the music in the highest quality possible...

Anyway, not finished by the time I left the house at 9 to head to Helen the Podiatrists for some nifty footwork...

Overcast...

Someone's lost their bootees...

Helen's place backs on to the Water of Leith...

Post footwork, I walked into town - to a pre-arranged meet with Dr Prog...

I was not feeling as up as I might normally be - Popped into HMV for a cheer up...

Then walked up to the library - the tourists are arriving...

...as is the tram...

An exhibition I may attend...

...and an interesting photographic one, outdoors and free re the Science Festival..

On to the library and met with Dr Prog - who only very occasionally reads this and so was not aware of Jamie's passing...

A few items borrowed and then to a nearby cafe for first sustenance of the day...

Then, a walk back down to Waverley Bridge whilst enjoying a perhaps more subdued chat than normal...

Took this pic in full knowledge that the Scott Monument would be coming out of Phil's head...

The bus in the distance...

...took me to the foot of Crispycat Hill...

I walked up, carrying my library booty...

This Elvis thing is a worry...

Still overcast...

...but with good wild vegetation...

Back home, the afternoon spent still uploading and trying to come to terms with my presence on Facebook...

At just gone 2pm, I was able to publish Jamie's page...

Some listening and tweaking, while Hearts finally succumbed to relegation despite beating Partick Thistle 4-2 - as St Mirren came from behind to beat Motherwell 3-2 in Paisley with two goals in the last four minutes...

Queens were on a rest day as Raith Rovers take on The Rangers tomorrow to see who will succeed QoS as Ramsdens Cup Holders for this season...

In the evening, a call from my mum re her Tivo box and a problem...

Out into the early evening...

...and over to Loanhead, soundtracked by some stinking O'Jays tracks...

I had to reformat the hard drive and so wipe her entire library - it was either that or no box...

She has lost mostly "Coronations St", "Doctors" and "Midsomer Murders" - plus the entire as yet unsampled "Musketeers" - and the final episode of "Silk" - I had to explain what happened in the end...

Back home...

...and prepping for tomorrow's recording of the Weekly Playlist No 14...

That's it...

Highlight of the Day : Getting Jamie back on the net...

Dave, thank you so much for uploading the 'definitive edition' of Precious. It is so good to hear Jamie's voice again. Cheers Ian

My pleasure Ian - took a while to do but very much worth it - just a shame Jamie and I didn't get round to it sooner...
