This should have been a better day than the good one it was...
Tonight me, Jamie, Keith and Andy ought to have been banging out a couple of sets of old Capital Models numbers and selected covers...
But it wasn't to be...
Up early and some small amount of work on this week's playlist, which will likely be up tomorrow...
Out on the look out for some furniture, some sewing materials and to return borrowed discs to the library...
All successful...
Then to The Steading for lunch at one with my mum and chums Lex and Moira...
A tasty smoked haddock and pea risotto with rocket for your correspondent - but, of course, not up to his own standards!
A good chat was had around the table, including much regarding the comedy of motoring accidents and proposed Scottish Independence, before we finally left the establishment around four...
Back to mum's for tea/coffee and more chat...
A good catch up...
Back home and, instead of treading the boards, an excellent new programme on BBC2, the first of a three part German series following five youngsters from 1941 onwards through the Second World War...
"Generation War : Our Mothers, Our Fathers" presented very bleak but engrossing viewing and was a very worthwhile watch...
Looking forward to the remaining two parts...
Don't read this if you want to know what happens to the characters...
Unfortunately, I did - no spoiler alert on the article - oops...
Late on, discovered every song from the farewell show in March 2007 by one of my very favourite bands has been uploaded to Youtube...
At last I can see what was impossible for me to witness seven years ago...
Time flies...
Highlight of the day : A visit from chums / a new drama / new furniture / new-old videos...
