Yes, no, maybe....

A damp morning...

A visit today to the Scottish Parliament as the guest of an MSP...

The sign in the chamber said "do not sit in the members' seats and do not take photographs...

Inevitably, the conversation turned to...

The "no" campaign is being criticised for being "negative".  Unfortunately, that's the very nature of a"no" campaign.  Because it is campaigning for the "negative" answer.  The "yes" campaign is very good on promises and visions of a rosy future but is being criticised for refusing point blank to "cost" anything properly...

I asked why it was that the European Union could not give a definitive answer as to whether an Independent Scotland would remain in the EU or even regain easy entry were it to gain independence from the rest of the UK...

The answer was because "no-one knows"...

The real answer is perhaps that very, very many of the countries in the EU have their very own "Scotland" of course...

They do not want to set a precedent...

I asked why it was that a seeming conundrum existed re the stance of the Conservative Party - in that, if Scotland gains independence, their current UK position versus non-Tory MPs at Westminster would be improved by around 57 seats and give them an outright majority rather than being in the current coalition...

The answer was because "that is not a foregone conclusion"...

Fair enough - but I do not feel many UK Tories will be downtrodden if the result is a "yes" for independence...

The tour continued...

MSP office - the "thinkpod"...

Artworks on display...

This, from the "Boyle Family"...

Work in progress pics re the building of the (admittedly impressive) building - like the Edinburgh Tram, a monumental waste of money - but the genie, in both cases, is out of the bottle...

Architecture on display...

This roofwork is not "upturned boats" - rather it represent leaves...

A damp afternoon...

In the evening, last night's TV comedy entertained, while this week's Weekly Playlist was compiled and recorded...
