This evening, post some of the tastiest (unpictured) soup ever (spicy parsnip) from the fair hands of the Exec Producer, your correspondent cooked for the first time in too long a time...

Soundtracked by Dave King and hindered rather than helped by Meg the Black Cat...

The dish in question was Smoked Salmon Gnocchi - and Meg was after the salmon...

I chanced upon this recently on a blog entitled The Usual Saucepans while trying to find out if Patisserie Florentin is under new management - re our brightly lit visit there last Sunday...

Ingredients are Gnocchi, Smoked Salmon, Spinach and Cream Cheese...

Here are a few snaps taken during the, roughly, ten minute cooking session...

Christmas is coming...

The remainder of the evening was spent drinking red wine, catching up on the Tivo and, later on, almost getting the daily podcasts bang up to date...
