Two things are mainly receiving my attention right now...

Rehearsing and present buying...

Seven albums chosen to soundtrack the day...

Some reconnaissance made re possible presents today and, this evening, Capital Models' last rehearsal before our gig on the 28th...

We used nephew Andy's desk this evening, as that is what we will use on the night...

We have been unable to set up a full rehearsal in a space with PA etc so, once again, on headphones and endeavouring to get an acceptable mix of which note can be taken and used at the Pig of Kiltedness...

At 7 - Started badly as I'd forgotten the very lead that allowed us all to have decent volume on personal headphones...

Around 8 - back home to obtain said lead...

That was better...

New recording machine would not switch on...

Mix achieved and into the run throughs...

Well played for the most part...

Changes made to several songs but the amended running order still not quite right...

Work still to be done...

Equipment breakdown after 11...

During which I discovered I had earlier activated the "hold" button on the new machine, hence no switch on...

Idiot...

A very long night indeed...

Home post midnight to an already seemingly sleeping but actually awake Exec Producer who was no doubt wondering why it is it takes so much prep to play a few songs in a pub to a bunch of Xmas celebrating drunks...

Indeed...

Highlight of the Day : Rehearsing...
