Awake super early but did not rise till just after six...

At 8, I was at the venue for tonight's gig re the set up and soundcheck...

Andy was there slightly ahead of me and we were followed closely by Keith...

...and Jamie...

We took the full two hours allotted to us to get everything just right - more space would have been good of course but not to worry...

All was ready bang on 10 am...

...and time for breakfast...

Home around midday...

In the afternoon, mostly listening to Yes still, I took a trip down to GuitarGuitar to partake of a couple of new bass plectrums...

The black ones below were purchased in 1977 when I got my first bass - only one remains intact...

Just before 8 in the evening, picked up Keith and chum Lynn and headed back to the Kilted Pig...

Despite having spent so much time getting things set up this morning, I discovered my mic was no longer working...

I had to drive home and attempt a fix...

And back again just in time for the start of the first set at 9:30...

A bit of a tight squeeze...

The set went well with audients already singing along by the third song...

Of course some of them had been here since the afternoon and were rather the worse for wear...

We gave them the good time they were looking for...

The second set started on cue at 11 but here is the moment I realised my hastily repaired mic, despite having functioned for the first collection of pop-picking hits, had now "gone to buggery", as they say in the music business...

I swapped to Jamie's mic for the first song before taking Andy's to the front of the so-called stage...

I think it's fair to say, a good time was had by all...

Including Penny, Paul and Ross...

...Maureen and Keith...

...Bobby...

...Tori and Shivvy...

...Count Brodski (seen here with Penny and her autographed poster)...

...Paul (again) and George...

All in all, over and above the usual punters, we must have brought in around 40 or 50 others for an excellent night of fun...

The place was indeed packed...

After three encores and a total playing time of two and a quarter hours, it was all over...

Time for a catch up with chums who'd made it along, before heading home and hitting the sack around 2am...

Highlight of the Day : Playing live...
