Woke at 4 but didn’t rise till 5...

Downstairs for some work on the stupid lists of LPs I used to own...

Upstairs and updated this, having decided to keep it going...

Breakfast at home with a storm outside – 100mph winds, trees uprooted, bridges closed etc etc...

Downloaded a couple of Rheostatics concerts...

“Only an Excuse” watched...

A Pet Shop Boys DVD soundtrack burned to a 2CD set for chum Chris-with-a-ch – I’m sure I did this for him in 2009...

Then more “work”, adding all the LPs I still have which I don’t think I have on CD to the “big list of LPs I used to have”...

Then, prep for going out...

Some results of the storm could be seen up the street...

...but the full effect wasn’t to be seen till later...

To Le Divan for 7:30...

...to meet up with chums Lindsay and Guy who are in Edinburgh till the end of the month before returning to their home in France...

I first met Lindsay in 1964 when she was around one year old – she is the daughter of my mum’s chums Lex and Moira, whom we visit a few times a year in Bearsden...

Drinks and chat were enjoyed before we moved upstairs to la P’tite folie for a slap up meal with mucho vino and more splendid chat...

So good in fact that I forgot to take any pics...

Around 11 we headed home...

...to find the full extent of the storm which blew in early this morning...

Shame for the trees, they had no insurance...

Highlight of the Day : Night out with Lindsay and Guy...

Oh dear... That's quite a dramatic tree incident to top off the evening ... Much enjoyed by us as well but nought quite as dramatic on our trip home!

It's a sign of a very good night out if I forget to take any photos during it!
