...and we were catching the bus to Leith...
We walked down from the bus stop in Great Junction Street, past several places we were not going to visit...
... to The Shore...
...to meet up with brother in law Keith and lovely wife Maureen at 12:30 for a leisurely afternoon of food, drink...
...and jazz...
At 5:30, not too much the worse for wear (despite what this badly lit, shaky image might suggest re your correspondent's condition)...
...we emerged into the gathering twilight...
...and took the bus home again...
Back home with Meg the Black Cat, some admin was undertaken while Anne watched the telly...
Highlight of the Day : Leisurely five hour birthday lunch...
