You can choose your friends...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet – Splinterheart
Various – Oh! Canada Vols 1-10
Emerson Lake and Palmer – Live in Switzerland 1970
Spontini – La Vestale
David Bowie – Five Years

Up early and more work on the cover...

It now looks like this...

The blobs are treated pictures of 3D models of the human heart – untreated they might have been deemed a little too grizzly...

Also made some presents for sister Pam (birthday today) and brother-in-law Bobby (birthday on Tuesday)...

Picked up Dr Prog around 11 and we headed into town...

Coffee and chat on George St...

...was followed by a visit to Fopp, where I purchased two more 3CD Opera sets, one by Spontini and one by Verdi...

In addition to this, an ELP bootleg of a Swiss concert from 1970, a two DVD+CD set of New Order live in Glasgow in 2000 and, on the Doc’s recommendation, the movie “Punch-Drunk Love”...

More sustenance and chat on George St...

...before meeting up with Annie and heading back to Crispycat Towers, dropping the progmeister off on the way...

Late afternoon to Jane and Bobby’s for a flying visit...

This in their garden...

...where I played footie (kind of) with the mischievous nephew/niece...

Then to my mum’s to take her and the birthday girl...

...to Penicuik for a tasty Chinese meal at “The Food Lodge”, scene of our Mothers' Day get together earlier this year...

Despite protestations, both mum and sister Sheila managed to polish off a banana split...

Then to Sheila’s house to see her new 6 week old puppy dog...

Back home, enjoyed the highlights of Germany trouncing Australia four nil...

...and the hand wringing of the English at just why it is the Germans are so good while they really aren’t...

Mind you they are better than Scotland...

Highlight of the day : Family visits...
