King of the long handshake...

Playlist
Asia - Omega
The National – High Violet

Out tonight for a meal with chums Kris-with-a-K, right hand woman Margaret and lost but not forgotten Lorna...

It was good to catch up with our erstwhile colleague who is now mother of three small children...

Drinks were had at All Bar One on Lothian Road before going on to Club India, having texted owner Spike, who’s on holiday in Turkey, and having secured a tasty wee discount...

This was partly in thanks for me taking along a fourth CD of Indian music for the main man, Mr Mansoori, the “All India King of the Long Handshake”...

Tonight’s addition was a disc of Hariprasad Chaurasia “Live in Jerusalem”...

After a superb meal and some excellent chat, Margaret exited for her last train, followed shortly by Kris, leaving Lorna and I to enjoy Mr Mansoori’s hospitality until we were the last people in the place...

A taxi home for Lorna, who will probably be under the cosh of a severe headache tomorrow at 6am when she rises to get her kids ready for nursery/school...

Your correspondent caught a very late No 26 home in time to catch the very end of “This Week” whilst attempting to convince his Exec Producer that he was not the worse for wear...

I suspect he failed on that front...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Catching up with chums...
