What a great day...

A day of much to-ing and fro-ing with total, unending, mind-numbing media coverage...

Finally, finally, Gordon Brown resigned...

But, as ever, it was all about him - even though he'd previously said he couldn't resign constitutionally without a new government being agreed and ready to take his place, he only went once it was clear he was completely stuffed and his last fingernail had been prised from power...

But that was before the Tories and Lib Dems had reached a full agreement...

And then he wheeled his kids out for the first time ever for the sympathy vote...

He'll get none from me I'm afraid - forget the lovely kids and look at what he's done to the economy...

I did feel a little sorry for Labour MPs and party members though - not because they were out, rather at the way they were treated by their "leaders"...

Unlike the Tories and Lib Dems, there were no meetings to let people know what was being discussed - they were kept completely in the dark by unelected Mandelson, Campbell and Adonis (the one concession to the parliamentary party in the Labour negotiating team was Ed Balls)...

By the time anyone else in Labour knew what had happened it was all decided and over...

Truth be told though, the more honest people in the Labour ranks had already conceded defeat and viewed Gordon and Mandy's attempts at a ludicrous, cobbled together coalition as pathetic...

I never thought I'd see the day when I found myself nodding in agreement with John Reid and David Blunkett of all people...

And so, what a great day - of course it means nothing to Meg the Black Cat...

...but halle-bloody-lujah - we've waited thirteen long years for this day...

So it's a hearty good riddance to all the millionaire "socialists" and the man who, since 1997, has had a devastating effect on the UK economy, leaving behind the worst legacy in post-war history for any incoming government to face, the rich richer and the poor poorer...

Nice to see he can still manage a smile though - probably thinking about his index linked gold plated pension...

The problem is, things are about to get a whole lot worse...

Highlight of the day : Erm, let's see now...
