More organising...

Playlist
Various - iPod on Shuffleplay

Some swift updates now as, as I write this, it's already Saturday morning...

Good flowers this morning...

At lunchtime, a walk down to Stockbridge in an attempt to remove a credit note from my wallet - the shop in question however does not open on a Monday or Tuesday...

Good exercise though...

Back home, more sorting out of the back room as, with Anne at zumba, a full amendment of matters took place...

...the wine bottle boxes now forming the bottom-most rows...

The scenario near the door is possibly too high - and I need to get the CDs in plastic sleeves to a more easily viewable and retrievable position...

Later on, with slightly sore arms from humping around all the boxes of CDs, "DCI Banks" and the final episode of the will-be-missed-on-a-Monday "Uncle", took the strain...

Highlight of the Day : A good walk....

Artwork up to date...

Playlist
Various - iPod on Shuffleplay
Jason Falkner - Can We Still Feel?

Up early...

...and the first four hours of the day spent finishing adding artwork to the 6,000 albums currently listed in my iTunes...

Today, it was finally time to integrate into the overall collection, CDs of sister Pam's which did not go in a black bag to the Cancer Research shop...

In order to recall for the future (which I will probably be able to do from memory anyway but just in case), photos were taken...

Much sorting out of recently relegated from the living room shelf to the back room discs...

Meanwhile, Meg the Black cat had a new fashion accessory...

...her not very much played with catnip mouse...

Goodness knows how that got on her head...

Out to my mums for coffee, baking and chat...

Then, to Anne's mum's for the Jane, Bobby and the kids-less family tea...

...where old photos were much enjoyed...

Here, Anne, Jane, Keith...

Back home and, due to the Baftas, no "Musketeers" tonight...

I think we watched the very good indeed first episode of the new series of "Line of Duty"...

Later, your correspondent was in black and white pensive mode...

...while listening to the newly filled iPod on shuffleplay to end the weekend...

Highlight of the Day : Artwork finally up to date...

Here they come with the new machine...

Playlist
Fripp & Eno - Paris Olympia 28 May 1975
Various - Heat OST
Various - Jackie the Album
Various - Kranky Compilation
Torrero Band - Lennon & McCartney Tijuana Style
Various - iPod Shuffleplay

Another Saturday spent mostly organising and watching TV...

Up early and, again, adding artwork to iTunes, concentrating today on Various Artist and Various Composer compilations...

I was also, of course, tracking the progress of the new iPod...

I received an e-mail advising it would arrive between 9:59 and 19:59...

At 9:59, the van pulled up to the back gate...

...and so, despite all the horror stories on the net and despite past delivery (or rather non-delivery) experiences, I shouldn't have worried...

I left the new machine filling up on Autofill - just over 30,000 tracks...

...while I made my one journey forth from the house - to the store for croissants re breakfast and rolls re lunch, spotting some wildlife as I walked through the drizzle...

On the way back, Mr Crow was in almost the same place...

I walked through the new estate...

Noting a lost hat...

...a broken tree...

..and a lost glove...

Home...

For an after noon of more organising as the autofill continued and enjoyable episode of "Inspector George Gently"...

In footie, Hearts managed an away 0-0 draw at Inverness while Queens went down 1-0 to Dundee in Dumfries...

The only goal of the game was a penalty, the causal incident resulting in Queens' keeper being sent off...

Still fourth though...

The weather picked up a bit in the evening...

..not that we were going anywhere...

We enjoyed a small Chinese takeaway and episodes 3 and 4 of "Salamander"...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : New iPod delivered as requested...

A prediction of likely non delivery...

Playlist
Various - iPod on Rock & PopShuffleplay
To Rococo Rot - Hotel Morgen
Various - Kranky Kompilation

Wiped the iPod this morning and then used "autofill" to, erm, autofill it again...

Set it to shuffleplay and off I went...

The CD I pictured in the street a week ago is deteriorating...

Quite apt, given the value of music these days...

To Fopp at lunchtime and, case in point, discs by To Rococo Rot and the Kranky label acquired for just two quid each...

Bargain...

Finally bit the bullet and bought a 160GB iPod Classic - asking that it be delivered tomorrow - so an anxious day ahead, spent at home, hoping the usual scenario does not come about - i.e. I am in but the delivery man makes no attempt to deliver and I don't get it till Monday, or even later...

We'll see...

Back home this evening and what's this?

Why it's a very tasty indeed chicken, potato and green bean curry from the Exec Producer...

Ta dah!

Yum...

Meanwhile, Meg the Black Cat flaked out on the carpet after a busy day spent being flaked out in various other locations around the house...

Upstairs, I spent a considerable part of the evening setting things up and then recording the weekly playlist podcast, albeit only three days since the last one...

But I am moving it to the weekend and, this time, I added my dulcet tones to the proceedings...

Ended the day with the Graham Norton Show...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Anne's curry, again...
