This morning, I forewent the overnight oats for CoCo Pops...
...and cut out a couple of breakfast ingredients...
Out into even bluer skies than yesterday...
Down past the Park View hotel - a better picture acquired...
Reasonable rates too...
Through the park...
...before walking down to the North Bay...
...pretty sure my family partook of one of these "chalets" when we holidayed here...
We kept going...
...and, eventually...
...reached the miniature railway station at Scalby Mills...
A plaque commemorated the much missed station cat, Percy...
We waited for the train...
...eventually it arrived...
...and the engine was turned around and attached to the other end...
Tickets were purchased...
...and we enjoyed the 6 minute journey back towards the park...
...past the open air theatre...
...and even through a tunnel...
We found a picture of the place, now long gone, where Anne once petted a dolphin's nose...
We also have a pic of Anne with siblings Keith and Jane and wee monkey, here in Scarborough around 1971...
Back through the park...
...for a short seat...
...before picking up the car at the house and driving north to Robin Hood's Bay, parking there and walking down the steep hill to the village by the shore...
Scones for lunch, again...
...before some further explorations...
..and a seat overlooking the sea...
..where I found this fossil...
Back up the hill and back to the car and the drive home...
Having parked again outside the house, we walked through the town back to the Craft Bar we'd visited on Saturday...
...but, first, into the record shop I'd spotted but not visited...
Got this for £7. 8LPs - but, it turned out I bought a similar box in Fopp in July 2017 for £3...
There are 2 LPs in this box not in the previous one, and vice versa, so all was not lost...
Over to the bar...
...for biers...
..and some trivial pursuit - answering cards until we got one wrong...
Roughly, a draw...
Then, the long walk back past the house and the park and down to the North Bay, where we'd started the day...
...and into Taylor's for tea...
Yum!
...before the walk back home...
...with darkness falling as we paid our final visit to the park...
