An old man bellowing into the night

Playlist

Monday again...

First thing, "Forest Ascent" work - creating the bonus material for Friday's release and writing up the notes too...

It really is rather a splendid LP, which, no doubt, will be roundly ignored...

Sent it all to Robert Scott Thompson for his approval - confirming later the link works...

Some "Strand" listening - a recent sale on Bandcamp reminded me of how good it also is...

Podcast uploaded and all the notes for it re featured artists, track listing and source recordings done...

Laborious...

Dairy, i.e. this, updated for the last 4 days...

Laborious...

Was supposed to meeting up with old chum Sid Smith today as he'd be back in town, post Saturday's Stewart Lee related visit, for tonight's Peter Hammill concert...

Alas, circumstances meant he could no longer come...

He very kindly donated his ticket to me...

Spent some considerable time thereafter, listening to Peter Hammill - including filling ratehr a few PH shaped holes in my collection...

Anne was shopping, B&Qing, Mumming etc...

On her return, lunch and a couple of "FBI"'s...

Later on, Anne went to Pilates...

I was feeling not too great but managed to "cook" this...

Meanwhile, Robert had put this around his Social Media people - let's see...

Just after six, Anne returned and it was into the car for me and into town for the show...

Met Dr Prog in the queue and also saw Count Brodski passing one of the auditorium doors - he confirmed his attendance later tonight, post gig...

The view from the office this evening...

"An old man bellowing into the night" would be my headline...

Five songs at the piano...

Six songs with his guitar...

Another six songs (including encore) at the piano...

All over after an hour and 35 minutes...

9 months younger than Alice Cooper...

A superb performance.  Enthralling, engaging, and, at times, absolutely horrendous...

Peter "Bellowing" Hammill indeed...

A brief chat with the Doc post show and a drive home for two more "FBI"'s before bed...

Highlight of the Day : Mr Hammill...
