This afternoon, fell asleep listening to Alistair Cooke's letters from America, bought yesterday...
Cut it fine to get to the place we'd booked for dinner with Lynn and Ross tonight...
My timing wasn't helped by roadworks holding everything up...
Anne was coming straight from Tynecastle having witness a 3-0 table topping performance from Hearts against Falkirk (Queens lost again - they have no more points than they did when they topped the table a couple of weeks back - and are now 7th)...
Anyway, I managed to arrive just 4 minutes late and before the other three so not a disaster...
Top notch unpictured burgers enjoyed with (unpictured Lynn and Ross) at Jeremiah's Tap Room...
Then, a walk through the rain to the Playhouse...
...for Stewart Lee Vs The Man-Wulf...
...a top two hours of comedy...
Turned out our old chum Sid Smith was also in attendance but we did not know till we were home...
I opined that Mr Lee was, despite the overall subject matter, the most upbeat I think I’ve ever seen him...
A top night indeed!
Drinks afterwards at Mathers on Broughton St and who should pop in?
Busses home for everyone and bed at gone midnight...
