A reasonably busy Sunday ahead...
The paintings remain...
First part of the day was spent compiling a playlist of tracks from records acquired on or around my birthdyas from 1972 onwards and then backwards filling the gaps to 1959...
Which makes for almost 5 hours of fun-filled music listening...
It soundtracked our trip out to Loanhead where, pre mum shop, we determined what was required..
No soup...
No crisps or biscuits...
No bin bags...
No juice but some milk...
No cold meat but some butter and mousses...
...and no chocolate...
No eggs but bread...
No ready meals...
No cereal...
No cleaning stuff...
Which all made for a simple quick shop while Anne did ours...
Back home around 1 and back out around 3 to drive for 45 minutes to Bridge of Allan for a visit to sister Sheila and family's campsite...
Young Dougie was drawing...
Young Lockie was tired
this, apparently, is me...
I insisted it should be signed...
And here's me giving a thumbs up, again, signed by the artist...
Nephew Andy was performing tonight...
Grand nephew Lockie was sleeping, for now...
The view from the office this afternoon...
A massive fish and chip tea in the awning...
Then set up...
including lights...
Soundcheck, with senior on tambourine...
Back at the caravan, Lockie was up...
...and sister Sheila and Cassie the dog were passing coffees out...
Meanwhile, Dougie was doing what young boys will do, facing a mud scenario...
Into the big tent for the evening's entertainment...
Harris was kept entertained by his iPad...
All three young boys did much running about while their dad/uncle entertained...
At one point, Ali serenaded us with "The Gambler"...
Penicuik's own Pet Shop Boys...
Despite calls from Ali for Uncle David to perform, I declined...
There was strange dancing...
...and good singing while the younger son enjoyed the internet...
At 10 we headed home after an entertaining insight into the lives of my family and their caravanning ways...
Highlight of the Day : A visit to the campsite...
