Up super early - mainly, though, as I couldn't sleep due to the lurgi...

And so, I cancelled a proposed Record Fair visit with Dr Prog...

Early scenes...

Downloading piano music re the content of yesterday's "Fractals" collection, made up for not being able to acquire any overpriced CDs...

A visit from Fang...

He's a funny wee man...

Sometimes so loveable, other times a complete slasher and biter...

First thing post breakfast, we watched the rather disturbing 7th of 8, in Season 1 of "The Sinner" - all was revealed as to what had really happened but with enough left to sort out for the finale...

Then, I used the Infinite String Quartet system to produce a second string quartet (the first is on my 2015 LP, "Four Last Things")...

It sounds somewhat the same (given the use of the same elements) and not sure if it will see the light of day...

We'll see...

Good cover created though...

While I was doing this, Anne was painting the window sill in the bathroom, following on from her recent triumph in the kitchen...

She also did some "art" painting, continuing the lakeside mountain view...

At lunchtime, the final "The Sinner" watched and a good outcome...

This afternoon, Hearts were at Kilmarnock and went ahead early in the game but were soon 2-1 down.  Anne wasn't pleased and went off to the shops...

Further downloading of music by "Stick Men", Tony Levin and Pat Mastelloto of King Crimson, David Cross, ex of King Crimson and Markus Reuter - who would make a very good replacement for Robert Fripp n King Crimson, should it ever come to it...

Meanwhile, I got this back up to date, while Queens beat Peterhead at home to go 6th in League 1, which, despite its name, is the third tier...

Steak Pie for tea...

Piano music entertained...

Then, a new thing "Magpie Murders" - promising...

Late on, word came through of the death on 30 March of Gentle Giant bassist, Ray Shulman...

I only saw Gentle Giant once (May 1976 - shortly after acquiring their "In A Glass House" LP) but that was enough to spark a lifelong love for their work...

Sad day indeed but, of course, we, as fans, can still turn to the music - in which, Ray Shulman will live on…

Ended the day with their only official live LP, recorded on the second leg of the tour I witnessed...

Lights out shortly before midnight...

Highlight of the Day : String quartetting...

Today's new music:-
