Up early and choosing a box...

But, it turned out to be section 432 of 432, i.e. the final quarter of "The Shelf", i.e. the last 25 titles acquired...

...which took me back 7 weeks to 21 March...

I chose Pletnev’s 2CD set of Beethoven Variations & Bagatelles, Spanish singer songwriter Xoel Lopez (w/Mellotron!) & 20th Century classical compositions by Rutland Boughton...

Out early for breakfast with the Exec Producer at "The Village"...

Then, into town for a day of not working from home but still working...

At the lunchless lunchtime, a walk along...

...to Fopp...

...where this brace (description suggested by Twitterchum, Andy Long after someone else had opined that this does not constitute a "pile") was secured for just 10 of your United Kingdom pounds...

Tasty...

Also today, Capital Models have been invited to play Roslin's Village Fete on 10 September - we are the Roslin house band...

A swift set of "crowd pleasers" was compiled but, of course may change ("Daydream Believer" and "Caroline" have already been dropped via complaints from Johnny and Paul - oh well - while Paul has suggested two Rush songs...which are very unlikely to be crowdpleasers but could be added to the overall repertoire)...

Of course the date is Anne's mum Mary's 90th birthday and there is very likely to be a family "do" that day...

Accordingly, I have said I can only play from 3:30 pm onwards - which would give time to enjoy a lunch and get out to Roslin, or come back from Roslin in time for an evening thing...

We'll see...

Luna was her usual self this evening...

Lovely chicken pasta from the EP with the masterstroke that is mascarpone...

A couple of episodes of "Rita" plus the penultimate "Derry Girls" and the last of "Hullraisers"...

Plus listening to the new things...

...alongside recent downloads, which include 16 songs from Eurovision...

This, Norway, ought to have won...

...even though it's nowhere near as good without the dance routine - in which case, I'm thinking perhaps Sweden was the best...

Not that it matters...

Off to bed with Johann in the cans...

Highlight of the Day : Another gig in the pipeline...
