Opened the day with the rest of the Best of Rheostatics to which I'd fallen asleep last night...
Up just after six...
...and compiling my Top 100 of 2004...
...which, by close of play, after a couple of revisions re (a) having included LPs wrongly tagged as having been released in 2004 and (b) having added LPs not previously tagged as 2004, ended up as these...
Over the course of the next 12 days they will be whittled to my Top 5 - which I've already chosen of course - same with the 75, 50, 30, 20 and 10 which will precede that revelation...
Listening on headphones to 2004, waiting for new much lauded headphones to arrive, following a "birthday money not spent since May" purchase last night...
I did not play any of these though...
WFH while Anne was out for a day of shopping and lunching and shopping with Lynn...
My lunch was yesterday's lasagne...
Yowsah!
At 1, the new nutphones arrived...
Oh yes, they are very good indeed...
Although Anne did opine on her return home this evening that they look ridiculous...
Oh well...
First play was "UK" by UK...
Maybe it's my imagination but I was hearing little cymbal touches from Bruford of which I'd not previously been aware...
These are much quieter than my Grado 80s but also less bassy...
I have made the correct decision....
