Off on a solo trip to Spain tomorrow, flying from Glasgow so, today, following a painful drive to the podiatrist and a seeing to for my toes, back home to pick up Anne and off we drove across Scotchland...

Probably quite dangerous as I was having to lift my left foot onto the clutch with my right foot due to ongoing knee pain, which is better than it has been - it's been a week now - the problem migrated into my kneecap which hasn't happened before - and I hope it doesn't happen again...

Anyway, drove directly to Mixed Up Records, first visit since the lucrative one, music-wise, in October when many Rune Gramophon and Hubro promos were acquired for a quid each...

My first 10 CDs of 2018 were partaken of...

Nice selection...

Then, a walk around the environs and we chose Il Cappuccino for lunch...

...which turned out to be a very wise choice indeed...

I enjoyed the best focacia ever...

We drove over to the now further away free parking area near Byres Road - which afforded a nice walk down to said street of delights...

..where Fopp was visited and the entire "Herges Adventures of Tin Tin" was bought for just £3 - including 3D cover...

Oooh...

And the 1st "Paddington" film...

A walk along the road and into Tinderbox for welcome coffees...

Oxfam provided a nice wee classical music reference book for 99p...

Then the walk back to the car...

...and out to the airport hotel for a rest and a read...

...and watching Queens on Twitter go down 3-1 in Inverness...

We had planned to head back to town for tea but, instead, opted for drinks in the bar...

...and a tasty meal in the restaurant, before retiring to watch two episodes of "Spiral"...

Erm and a programme about Alaska, featuring a rather large pumpkin...

Took a look through the acquisitions and the book...

...before hitting the sack...

Today's artwork, "2018-01-13"...
