The view from the office this morning...

Breakfast and some fruit...

...and another omelette..

As the boys headed off for some golf - I had been counted in to play but the knee situation had done for my participation - I stayed behind and, initially, had a listen to chum Sid Smith's first podcast of the year...

...and took more pics from the room window...

...before heading back into town yet again...

The pool...

The beach...

The lighthouse in the distance...

BAck to the big department store - the only shop in Puerto Banus worth visiting to be honest...

More bargains partaken of...

..having sampled them all in the shop via phone/Youtube and deciding they were worth a couple of Euros outlay each...

A can of Coke Light purchased and a walk down to the harbour...

This was the view, as I finally made contact with my mum to see how she was doing...

On Saturday, as we were having a drink at the hotel, sister Sheila had texted Anne to advise mum had been whisked to hospital with suspected Septicaemia...

Luckily, overnight tests had shown it was not as serious as first thought and antibiotics brought her back to compos mentis-ness post some rambling nonsense...

She'd been discharged yesterday...

Today I'd been trying to reach her but her phone kept going to answer machine...

Turned out, because I was calling from Spain, she was only getting 3 rings instead of 6 to pick up...

So she's ok...

Which is good...

More views taken in...

My mum remembered this tower from her visit to the port with my dad around 35 years ago...

Back along the front to the hotel...

...and a seat in the sun on the balcony, looking through the Spanish pile...

No sign of the golfers, so walked into town yet again...

...and back...

...whilst enjoying music on the cans...

Eventually the boys returned...

Prog Rick Willie enjoys watching the talking heads on CNBC...

Out tonight for a very tasty indeed Chinese meal at Zen - a chance find which proved to be most satisfactory...

...and which was followed by a couple of drinks at the port before I headed back around midnight...

I'd passed this a few times today - sculpted from sand....

The beast was unflatteringly pictured in a traffic mirror last thing...

...just prior to a nightcap in the hotel bar with Matt and Prog Rock Willie...

Today's artwork, "2018-01-16"...

Highlight of the Day : Beautifully tasty Chinese at Zen...
