Difficulty in sleeping due to Spanish people being particularly noisy with their conversations on their way home at 1am, 2am, 3am etc etc...

The price you pay for an apartment in the centre of the old town I suppose...

Up early and coffee...

The view from the office this morning...

Leaving Anne sleeping on, out for a walk around the neighbourhood...

At nine, some rolls secured and home for breakfast...

The views from the office later this morning...

And out...

We passed the Thyssen Gallery - one for tomorrow...

The cathedral - again, on our list of things...

The bishop's palace - of which, we had been advised, the facade was the best feature...

To the Picasso Museum...

I managed this before being advised photography was not permitted...

A fascinating journey through a fascinating life - the in ear commentary alerting us to many hitherto unknown facts regarding the painter's life and work...

At the close, a short documentary on Picasso's time being photographed by American war photographer David Douglas Duncan...

Duncan was introduced to Picasso by Robert Capa and spent several years photographing the artist, his life and his works...

Out...

...into the sun...

A welcome coffee and hot chocolate were enjoyed...

More walking around and looking at stuff...

I was intrigued by the banner carrying religious people with Ku Klux Klan hats...

The hats are Capirotes...

Lunch back at our declared favourite bar...

..and a wee visit to a second hand book and music shop, led to two probably unnecessary purchases...

To the magnificent cathedral - once again the in ear commentary was enlightening...

But I will let the pictures do most of the talking...

The twin organ has over 4,000 pipes!

Out into the gardens...

Back towards the Roman Theatre with its colony of cats, including a wee black three legged friend...

Picasso's square...

Back home...

Later, out for more music shopping - to FNAC, where a Brian Eno related DVD was secured...

A walk back across the town and out to the port...

...where burgers and beers were enjoyed...

Back to the old town, where more beers were enjoyed...

...before we headed for home again for another night of noisy Spaniards walking along our quiet street...

Today's artwork "Admit One to the MPM"...
