Up around 6:20 and compiling the latest Paul McCartney 4CD box from albums owned - I have all the tracks already...

It's a good compilation in that it highlights, along with the classics, many lesser known tracks, especially those from his later, critically acclaimed but not huge selling, solo albums...

Got that done in time to head to the podiatrist for a 9 o'clock appointment, then, over to Polwarth for a brunch meet with Doctor and Mrs Prog - our first meet up with Phil and Jacqui since Phil's heart scenario three weeks ago...

Through the rain to the Piecebox...

...and an enjoyable meet up, with both Phil...

...and Jacqui on good form...

...and healthy granola for your overweight correspondent...

This was Phil's first real venture out since the incident and he seems to be coming along well, if a little slowly...

But the prospects seem good...

Which is, in itself, good...

Out to my mum's for 12:30 and then, a drive over to Paisley...

...to mum's old chum Pat's flat, right in the centre of town...

We left the ladies to it and set off for Glasgow by train...

From Central Station, Anne went off shopping and I took the Subway to Kelvinbridge...

...followed by a short walk to...

...Otago Lane and Mixed Up Records...

...where some discs were partaken of...

Then, next door, to Voltaire & Rousseau - another good find...

...where these were also picked up...

The subway back...

...to the foot of a very busy Buchanan St to meet up with the Exec Producer...

...and back to Central Station...

...me with some CDs and books and Anne with some things she likes...

Back to Paisley, which aims to be UK City of Culture in 2021...

So there's at least one city in the SNP conclave which doesn't believe there'll be a succesful Indyref2 any time soon then...

A tasty salad for tea and some good chat, before a quick snap of the ladies...

...and then, a drive back to Loanhead and home to listen and rip the many new acquisitions before hitting the sack...

Managed to catch the injury time goal which gave Russia a draw against England, Wales having beaten Slovakia in their first game...

To bed with new music in my ears...

A good, packed day...

Highlight of the Day : The return of Dr Prog...
