Another beautiful morning...

Breakfast then on to the bus with a slightly more expensive ticket today...

Past our balcony...

...and, under now overcast skies with a hint of rain, to the Hauptbahnhof - to find we'd just missed our train and had just under an hour to wait...

A walk around and back to the Hauptbahnhof......

..and on to the train...

...for the 30 minute journey to the beautiful old town of Lüneburg...

Initially, some walking around...

Then, at the market square...

...some fruit purchased...

...and enjoyed...

More sightseeing - which was all today's visit was about really...

Eventually, we had to give in the the lures of a beer garden...

...at the East Prussian Countryside Museum...

...where some texting re tickets for the upcoming Hearts European tie was carried out...

...just before a tasty baked potato based lunch arrived...

The weather was now picking up again and on we went around the town...

Some frozen yoghurt was required by your correspondent on the way...

...back to the station after around four hours of sightseeing and baked potato eating and beer drinking...

Soon, we were back in Hamburg...

Back to the flat for some battery recharging...

...and more beer and some wine on a glorious late afternoon...

The plight of a wee monkey over the road outside the supermarket was causing some concern...

...but soon, his people came out and he was on his way...

A bus to the Hauptbahnhof again...

...and a U-Bahn this evening...

...back to the Reeperbahn, or rather a street parallel to it, Spielbudenplatz, where a wee party was going on...

...overlooked by a wonky building...

Here, we enjoyed Eire beating Italy 1-0...

...as we sat under the gathering night...

A U-Bahn back to Monkyberg Street around 11...

...and a bus back to the house...

Another packed day...

Highlight of the Day : Lüneburg...
