Started the day with a listen back to next week's podcast...
I am advised that Volume 8 is now "in the charts" over at Mixcloud - the rock charts and the pop charts...
Weird...
But, hopefully, being enjoyed...
A trip to Fopp at lunchtime today where, upon seeing their selection of MP3 player related headphones, I was reminded I needed a new set of "in bed/in ear" things, my Apple white ones having gone the way of all nut cans.....
Duly acquired - along with a couple of "bargains"...
Home in the gathering gloom...
White car...
Red car...
An accidental picture of the road down Crispycat Hill from the terminus...
The beast was about its business...
...which included recording one its favourite trees...
Home for a lovely but, unpictured, Moroccan Lamb Casserole with Sweet Potato Mash from the expert hands of the Exec Producer...
Lucky man...
Too late to make an early evening open mic I'd said I might attend...
And just caught the last hour or so of Sid Smith's latest podcast via the t'internet, which included some tasty sounds...
As does this £3 disc - recorded in 1959 and 1960 but not released until 1975 and, even then, only in Japan...
Of course, all the tracks are in the "Beauty is a Rare thing" 6CD Box but good to listen to them as they were originally sent out into the world...
Hard to understand why they were held back for so long...
And this for just £4 - some great tracks on here from the heyday of Island's reggae output, the five years from 1974-1979 (no Bob Marley included despite his presence on the label during the period)...
Not sure about the use of the word "anthems", or rather, yet another example of its overuse by the marketing boys and girls...
Dealing with orders in the inbox and was notified that the long ago ordered and paid for new work by ambient fave Matthew Florianz was at last available...
WAV files duly downloaded, converted to MP3 and added to listening devices...
To bed with it in the new cans...
Highlight of the day : Anne's tasty casserole...
