Started the day by adding old chum Jorg Sonnenschein's MP3 player's content (acquired when he visited in 2009) to my i-Tunes and sampling tracks through out the morning, whilst sorting out artwork, ID tags etc etc...

Was prompted by a conversation on Twitter (@MisterQuartet) to check my copy of "In the Court of the Crimson King"...

I realise now I have an original...

...although it's not exactly mint condition...

Just as well I mostly listen to CDs (because they sound better of course)...

In the afternoon, took Anne to her mum's for today's "win ugly" event at Tynecastle - 1-0 v Partick Thistle - Queens don't play till Tuesday...

While the ladies watched footie, I visited my mum again...

She is improving everyday but still needs to work on leg strength before she has a chance of release back to her normal surroundings...

Some sweets were provided re tomorrow's Mother's Day scenario...

Mum always likes to show off her bruising re various blood taking and intravenous inputting situations...

Picked Anne up and took her mum home then, back to the house for a quick pizza...

...before heading out into the night...

The Festival Theatre was our destination...

...for three pieces by the Phoenix Dance Theatre Company...

We were in the front row of the Grand Circle - and reasonably early...

Our favourite piece was the first, in which Dutch/Israeli choreographer Itzik Galili reworked his own piece, "Until.With/Out.Enough", which "explores the concept of the enclosed space that exists within our minds"...

Music was by Gorecki...

Although the dancing was superb, our least favourite was the second piece, mainly due to the soundtrack and use of spoken word...

"Undivided Loves" "commemorates the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death"...

Finally, "Bloom", by one of the three Matthew Bourne's New Adventures Choreographer Award winners for 2014, Caroline Finn...

Her work is said to often present "darkly comic expressions of life and humanity using her playful, quirky and highly engaging choreographic style"...

The music included a cover of Radiohead's "Creep" in a Frank Sinatra stylee...

Out, after over two hours of spectacular breath-taking dancing...

I do love the ballet, especially modern dance...

Home again to spend the rest of the evening relaxing in the living room...

...with stuff from "The Shelf"...

Lights out on a good Saturday...

Highlight of the Day : The Ballet...
