Up early feeling a bit woozy after last night but soldiering on, updating Albums of the Month, Albums of the Year and this, whilst enjoying some string quartet, Steve Harley, Creek and CBQ based sounds...

Porridge for breakfast on Anne's emergence, soundtracked by one of Yes's less well liked albums...

Took a look through all our old pre-digital photo albums while Anne watched Hearts throw away the League Cup semi final to an eventual nine man Inverness Caley Thistle, the latter equalising in the fourth minute of injury time and then winning on penalties...

Just as well it's only a game...

Enjoyed my journey in time from 1979 onwards - don't know why Anne has put up with me over all these years...

Also listened to some CBQ songs with a view to perhaps relearning and performing...

The guitar was picked up...

Out to my mum's for coffee and catch up - seems a lot more upbeat now than she used to be...

Back home, I continued wasting my time listening to old music as Anne cooked a chicken...

I am kind of obsessed with the singles I owned and played to death between 1972 and 1975...

When in this state of mind, I always turn to this book to take me back in time...

In all, I have over 120 self burned CDs of music (my own personal "Now That's What I Call Music" series if you will) which I particularly liked, singles-wise (or think I would have liked had I been aware of it at the time) from May 1959 through to around 2003 - so I am now eleven years behind on that particular project...

And, of course, given I started the compilations in 1998 or 1999, I have acquired a veritable "shit-load" of music which should be in there but isn't - so, really, in my head I'm thinking I should start again and completely re-do it...

This is how I waste my time...

Post chicken, I compiled a wee hour long podcast of music from 1972...

...which I was swithering whether or not to upload but, following a request, here it is (I can't recall the exact tracklist but you may recognise some of it)...

Some Music from 1972  - Podcast (Play) (Download)

I noted whilst doing this, that many of my fave 1972 albums are not yet ripped to the hard drives...

Another project...

Then, "The Three Musketeers" continued to entertain as did the last part of Andrew Graham-Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli's travel through Italy in "Italy Unpacked"...

Still affected by the lurgi and feeling particularly tired, in a rare occurrence, I retired before the Exec Producer and was asleep within five minutes...

Highlight of the Day : Time travel...

Yeah, do that 70s podcast and I'll critique it in the style of brilliant, ok and shit. See how it scores ;-)
