Up reasonably early considering last night's shenanigans...
Amending this slightly...
Breakfast featured an attempted eggscape...
With Anne off to see Hearts lose 2-1 to Hibs at Tynecastle in the last local derby of the season, I drove to Loanhead to catch up with my mum and sister Sheila...
The starlings are back - they have been coming since at least 1967...
Mum is improving everyday and hopes to start driving again on Tuesday - meanwhile Sheila is up to her eyeballs in preparations for next Saturday's wedding of CBQ's "Crocodile Song" co-writer, nephew Andy...
Over to Anne's mum's for my birthday tea...
Young Olly sported an excellent Queen of the South top...
...and beans were on the menu - my only culinary request...
There was, of course, some of Anne's mum's best sponge cake in the world...
...which was duly sliced by the one-week-ago birthday boy...
Olly begged for some extra icing...
Later Anne helped out her mum with her camera - the latter did not believe it featured such a thing as zoom...
She was soon proved mistaken...
Back home for some telly and a reasonably early night...
Highlight of the Day : Olly is a Queens fan...
