Nephew Andy got married to his true love Tori today...

We got a wee bit dressed up...

Notwithstanding the lovely weather yesterday, this morning it started to rain as if someone somewhere was looking to encourage ark building...

We drove to my mum's around 1 and could hardly see ahead of us so hard was the precipitation precipitating...

A text was sent to Andy - "Bollocks to the weather, let's party!"...

Mum was in good spirits - and looked amazing really, considering just a few weeks ago she was at death's door...

A short drive to Dalkeith for the ceremony...

Best man, nephew Ali, was taking things very seriously indeed...

The congregation gathered and waited...

...and waited...

The groom was advised of the delay - due to a make up artist's tardiness apparently...

The bride arrived right on ti..., erm 20 minutes late...

..and the rest of the service went without a hitch - apart from the hitch...

Grand-nephew Kerr looked on proudly...

The register was signed...

...and the ceremony was over...

We took mum back to the car, while fellow Creeker, Stu Cobley undertook his role as official photographer - with loads of other unofficial photographers around him...

...including your correspondent...

The ladies and the groom...

The men and the bride...

The bride's family...

The groom's family (minus mum)...

...who I forced to return to the church for the final group pic...

Then, much chaos and standing around - or pose striking...

The happy couple appeared on the balcony...

Then to the reception...

Nephew Ali with partner Julie - the latter just back from a sled run across the arctic circle for charity...

The cake...

The table settings...

Father of the bride...

A gift from dad to son-in-law...

The groom...

Much love...

The groom's dad, for once, speechless...

The best man - very funny indeed...

Two ends of four generations...

Cutting the cake...

The first dance...

Prior, not bothered about the rain and the late running of almost everything...

During - in love...

Later on, Mr CBQ took to the decks (wikka wikka) rather than the reasonably priced bar, due to driving duties...

Disc choices were mainly of the "people can do actions to this" variety...

We left around 10:30, taking mum back home and then on back to Crispycat Towers, where the series finale of Dr Who was very much enjoyed and left us wondering why on Earth the rest of the episodes had been so below par...
