Brian Eno - Lux
Stockhausen - Klavier Stuecke
Ligeti - Piano Etudes
Stockhausen - Helikopter-Streichquartett
Stockhausen - Plus Minus
Stockhausen - Kontra Punkte
Xenakis - Complete String Quartets
Snow this morning, continued from last night...
Brian Eno's best album in an age soundtracked...
Out front...
Out back...
In front of the trees...
On the pavement as I sped down the hill...
On the hills in the distance...
Motoring - look at that blurry hedge...
Once in town though, lighter and almost gone...
Good light today...
Especially on the cathedral...
At lunchtime, in the company of Mr Ligeti, a two and a bit mile walk to and from the Music Library...
...past Victoria Street...
...and, having borrowed two Stockhausen discs and one by Xenakis, back down the hill past the head office of what was Bank of Scotland...
...the Castle...
..the National Gallery...
Back home the Stockhausen and Xenakis discs were listened to tonight along with the Stockhausen Helicopter Quartet, freshly arrived from the States...
All very good stuff I must advise...
Second part of "Dancing on the Edge" was much enjoyed too, after last night's unmentioned debut...
And an apartment succesfully booked for the home leg of the upcoming European trip...
An enjoyable day...
Highlight of the day : A good long walk ending with interesting new music being obtained...
