Started the day with some fine tunes from Mr Guetta and moving on to the equally fine voice of Mr Blunstone before heading to the gym with some fine live renditions from Mr Bowie...

Scrambled Eggs for breakfast and updated this before driving into town through the rain to meet with Dr Prog at the library...

An interesting disc was borrowed, a string quartet’s take on the Mahavishnu Orchestra...

Top stuff...

A chat with Dr Prog accompanied by some falafel and a recommendation on his big phone re Jon Hopkins....

...then down Victoria Street...

...and through the Grassmarket, to Avalanche where comedian Sean Hughes was also browsing...

Nothing enticed us however...

With the doc refusing to be pictured again...

...and off to a piano recital, I returned to the Record Fair from yesterday on my own - via Princes Street Gardens...

...and took three classical discs for a tenner...

Home around two to enjoy two of said discs while we kept an eye on the footy scores...

...Queens maintaining their early unbeaten record with zero goals conceded thus far...

Meg was medicated...

...and then off we went to pick Anne’s mum up and head down to Leith to celebrate nephew Craig’s birthday with the extended family...

A good time was had by all, although your correspondent may have partaken of slightly too much red wine...

A splendid evening’s entertainment...

...and home around eleven to peruse the book on Miles Davis loaned by brother in law Keith...

Highlight of the Day : Party time...
